Waterproofing

If your basement is leaking it is time to do waterproofing. If your basement is unfinished or not done the way you like it and you are planning to finish it properly, before you spend money, you have to be sure that the basement is waterproof. There are two ways to do waterproofing:
  • Interior waterproofing: opening the floor along the perimeter foundation, installation of weeping tiles and membrane. In this case water that comes from foundation behind membrane is collected in the weeping tiles and then travels to sump well. Our drainage system doesn’t require maintenance.
  • Exterior waterproofing: excavating, applying special cement, tar and membrane to the foundation wall. In many cases it also involves adding a weeping tile pipe with gravel at the base of the trench. In order to reduce disturbing to your landscape, digging is often done by hand.
